Are BILLY shoes machine washable? If you are to wash your shoes, we recommend spot washing by hand. We do not recommend putting your shoes in a washing machine.

"I preferred to buy Inclusion Too running style shoes, but they have short zipper and I want long zipper for better use with AFO. These Charcoal Suede/Mesh BILLY Comfort Classic Lows are similar in style to Inclusion Too, but have long zipper, and are true-to-size (perfect fit), comfortable, and easy to get into with AFO in them. "I can't tell you how much these have improved my ability to dress myself. I was in a hit and run motorcycle wreck 5 years and after 1 month in a coma, over 38 surgeries and 11 months straight in the hospital, I now have a paralyzed left leg, limited movement in my right arm from nerve damage and several other things. Getting dressed has been a difficult thing for me ever since I've gotten out of the hospital. My wife was a little luckier than me (but was also critically injured, luckily she now can walk with a cane and other than some pain is ok) She is my caregiver and has had to help me get dressed. I've worked really hard in physical therapy but they think I'm as good as Im going to get. I've come a long way and recently ( within the past couple months) have been able to dress myself with the exception of getting my shoes on and tying them. My physical therapist recommended a new brace and referred me to a brace place. And bamn, I was given a new kafo, but more than that he introduced me to Billy Footwear. (An old patient donated a couple shoes for him to show his patients). No I can completely dress myself!!! At 48 years old I was really struggling with depression, as a lot of people do after a traumatic life changing event. These shoes have given me the ability to finally dress myself all the way. It has raised my spirits and given me a little more confidence and a much much better frame of mind. I only wish I learned about them 3 and 1/2 years ago. I feel so lucky to have learned about them. I only wish you were more well known and had more advertising, so that others that don't know about your awesome shoes could benefit from them. I thank you for coming up with them and selling them affordably. (As many people know, living on disability isn't an easy way of living) So thank you again for making these awesome, comfortable and stylish shoes and selling them at a price so that us people who can really use them and need them, can actually afford them. I have been and will continue to show them to all of my Doctors and friends and family and strangers (everyone). Lol. They are comfortable and awesome!!!! Thank you Billy Footwear!!! I highly recommend your product to anyone and everyone! I have to add. Your shipping isn't the fastest. Between 4-6 weeks. I've ordered a few times and each time that was the case. Seems like an eternity when waiting for such a life changing thing. I understand that you are a smaller company, so I have no complaints. I just want people to know that shipping isn't super fast. I would cont on a 6 week wait. . . Also there isn't a customer service phone number. Only message or email. Although you have awesome customer service too. I would be nice to speak to a person. Again, you respond quickly and very nice. Your customer service is amazing. There's just no way to contact by phone. Over all you are an amazing company with amazing products and amazing customer service. Thank you!
